We're not all the way there yet, but my mom and I thought it would be fun to do a little "After" photo-shoot now that things are looking more and more normal....
She's still pretty emotionally fragile, and has mood swings like I wasn't anticipating for another 15 years or so.  And she's got some serious stranger-danger going on....not that you can blame her after all of the strangers she's had poking and prodding her.

BUT, she's definitely getting back to her self.  She's starting to eat solids again (a little), and is occasionally willing to roll around on the ground with her sister.  And the best is that today when I went in to get her from her naps I got my favorite, open-mouth-with-3-little-teeth grin, accompanied by lots of leg-kicking and that!

Home Again...

We're officially home again!   We were discharged Thursday morning and every day we've been amazed by the progress Savannah is making.

 Thursday Night
Bath time--the cutest time of day!

 Saturday Night
Finally...a REAL Savannah smile
I'm so grateful for how she's recovering physically, but it hasn't been until tonight that we're starting to see the old, happy-go-lucky Savannah come back.  I'm really, really glad.  It's been hard to watch her be so fragile and reserved emotionally--and to feel like I, her mother, let this happen.   And even though I know it's not really my fault, I will be very happy when she's forgotten all about it.
We are so thankful for how smoothly everything has gone, and despite my impatience for the healing process to be even faster, we feel like Savannah's progress really has been miraculous.  Thank you for your support and thoughts and prayers.  It means a lot to know so many people love our little baby girl.
