For My Mom:

This picture captures the results of (some) of my Mom's 6+ weeks of hard work while she was here in Houston:
  • An adorable wall-hanging that matches the quilts in the nursery (it's really a trophy for me to someday look back and fondly remember these crazy days)
  • 2 happy, rapidly chunkifying babies, both alive and well.
  • Not shown: Me, also still alive (and trying to de-chunkify myself), and learning to be a Mom from the world's greatest example.
Thanks, Mom!   Love you!

PS.  COME BACK SOON!   :)

(seriously...)

Honestly, being home with my one baby and my toddler has been harder than anything I've ever done in my life. So when I see this picture of your TWO babies, I sorta want to cry. Christa, you have a really challenging task! And you are handling it with such grace! I pray things continue to go well for your sweet little family!

What we do without Moms? I am so happy that she was able to stay for 6 WEEKS to help you keep them alive. It's no small feat. From what I hear, its crucial to have some full time help when you're caring for twins. Those girls are darling. Is it me or does one look like you and other look like Rob (sorry...I don't know who is who yet...I need to go study the pics some more). Congrats on two beautiful, chunky, healthy, sweet girls. I hope they're not teenagers by the time I get to hold them. We miss you guys!

Nope, you never quite love your mom the same as you do after you have your own babies. Mom's really are the best, and someday these little ladies will be singing your praises! You are awesome Christa, keep up the good work...one day, you will sleep again. :) Love you!
