Five years later...

Christa and I first met five years ago today. Most of our family/friends already know the details of that fateful day in the library. (If not, you can see the link on the right). That day was the beginning of a miracle.

C.S. Lewis said "This is one of the miracles of love: It gives a power of seeing through its own enchantments and yet not being disenchanted."

I'm not extremely articulate (one of the reasons that Christa usually writes our blog) and I don't want to get all mushy. But I wanted to create this tribute for Christa:

That was quite possibly the sweetest, most romantic video EVER! Kudos to Rob for making it...and thanks so much for sharing it with us. It really was so beautiful. Happy five years you two!

Darling! Christa is SO beautiful. It amazing to think about all of the experiences and memories that you have packed into these past 5 years. And, it was fun for us to some of them. And, I am pretty proud of myself because I believe that I took that last beautiful photo of you on the beach in belgium. Nice work, Rob! We miss you guys!

As Louie said to Rick in Casa Blanka, You're nothing but a rank sentamentalist!" So don't ever change. There are too few of us left in the world.

1) I'm finally following your blog! I promise from this day forward that I will keep up with what continent you both now live on.

2) I like the video!

That was super sweet! It's one of those things that most sentimental wives would like their husbands to do for them, but we can't ASK them to do it. I'm so glad that you guys are doing to so well. You make an adorable couple.

Good luck with real life in Houston and with the future little baby girls!
